Overview
Chirutha is a gripping action drama that marks the debut of Ram Charan in the Telugu film industry. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film revolves around Charan, a young man fueled by vengeance after the tragic murder of his parents at the hands of a ruthless crime lord named Mattu Bhai. The story takes a dark turn when an auto driver, who witnesses one of Mattu Bhai's heinous acts, is brutally attacked, leaving Charan as the sole survivor of his family. To secure money for his ailing mother’s surgery, he makes a heartbreaking choice to falsely confess to a crime, leading to a long stint in prison.
After twelve years of incarceration, Charan is released only to discover that his mother has passed away. His journey takes him to Bangkok, where he works as a tour guide and crosses paths with Sanjana, the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Their initial interactions are anything but smooth, as Sanjana's spoiled demeanor clashes with Charan's serious nature. However, when a gangster named Biku threatens Sanjana, Charan steps in as her protector, setting the stage for an intense mix of action and romance. The film, which was a commercial success and received positive reviews, showcases not just Charan's journey of revenge but also his growth as he navigates love and loyalty in a foreign land.
