Chirutha (transl. Cheetah) is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by C. Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies. The film marks the debut of Ram Charan and Neha Sharma, with Prakash Raj, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Sayaji Shinde in supporting roles. Mani Sharma composed the music, and Shyam K. Naidu handled the cinematography.

The story follows Charan, a young man seeking revenge against Mattu Bhai, the crime lord responsible for his parents’ deaths. Shot extensively in Thailand, the film began production in early 2007 and was released worldwide on 27 September 2007.

Chirutha received positive reviews and became a commercial success, setting a record as the highest-grossing Telugu debut film until Uppena in 2021. Ram Charan’s performance earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South and a Nandi Special Jury Award. The film was later remade in Bengali as Rangbaaz.

Chirutha is a gripping action drama that marks the debut of Ram Charan in the Telugu film industry.
