Overview
Bhairavam is a 2025 Telugu action drama that revolves around the lives of two childhood friends, Gajapathi and Varada, who grow up in the small town of Devipuram. The story takes a turn when an orphan named Seenu, who has always been loyal to Gajapathi, becomes a key figure in their lives. Raised by Gajapathi's grandmother, the trio faces struggles as Gajapathi, despite being a zamin heir, battles poverty while Varada runs a successful lorry business. The film intricately weaves their bond with the Vaarahi Amma temple, where Gajapathi’s grandmother was a respected head, and the looming threat from a corrupt minister, Vedurupalli Venkateswara Rao, who plots to seize valuable temple land for his own gain.
As Gajapathi and Varada try to protect their heritage, the tension escalates with the entrance of Nagaraj, who aims to manipulate Gajapathi’s family against him. This conflict brings out themes of loyalty, greed, and the struggle for justice as Seenu unexpectedly rises to become the head of the temple committee, supported by his friends. However, the twists and turns lead to a gripping tale of betrayal and resilience. Despite its engaging premise and a talented cast, Bhairavam had a mixed reception from critics and struggled at the box office, but it certainly leaves an impact with its emotionally charged narrative and the fight for righteousness amidst personal and social challenges.
